WASHINGTON, D.C. –  Today, Congresswoman Karen Bass, Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), released the following statement regarding Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report to Attorney General William Barr:

“Just last week, the House voted overwhelmingly to make the Mueller report public.  Now that the report has been submitted to the Attorney General, the full report must be given to Congress and made public for the American people to review,” said Chairwoman Bass. “I want to be hopeful that the Attorney General will show his allegiance to the American people now that he is sworn in, but I am very concerned. This will be a historic test for him. The report should not be shared with President Trump nor the White House staff before Congress and the American people have had a chance to see it. Both Congress and Americans across the country are expecting full transparency and deserve to know the truth.”
