Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) Chair Rep. Marcia L. Fudge and Congressman John Lewis, will join leaders of the U.S. House and Senate to hold a ceremony to mark the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. During the ceremony, the leaders will also present a Congressional Gold Medal in honor of the Reverend Doctor and Mrs. Martin Luther King, Jr., who were instrumental in the law's passage. The ceremony will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. ET in the Rotunda of the United States Capitol and will be live-streamed on Speaker.gov/Live.
