CBC Meets With High Level Delegation of Nigerian Senators, Representatives
Yesterday, Members of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) – led by CBC Foreign Affairs and National Security Task Force co-chairs Congressmember Karen Bass (D-CA-37) and Congressman Marc Veasey (D-TX-33) – met with a high-level delegation of Nigerian Senators and Representatives to discuss Nigeria’s domestic affairs and relations with the United States.
“During the discussion, our delegations focused on improving the relationship between our two countries and expanding business opportunities,” said Rep. Bass, Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Africa. “Not only did we discuss how the Congressional Black Caucus could be helpful in this effort, but also the larger role that the Nigerian diaspora and African Americans throughout the country can play in enhancing this relationship.”View pictures from the event here.
