Today, Congressional Black Caucus Chairman Steven Horsford (NV-04) and members of the Congressional Black Caucus issued the following statement applauding President Biden’s nomination of U.S. Magistrate Judge Embry Kidd’s nomination to the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals:
“The Congressional Black Caucus applauds President Biden's nomination of U.S. Magistrate Judge Embry Kidd to the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Judge Kidd is an immensely qualified candidate with more than a decade of experience in private practice as well as time as a federal judge and Assistant U.S. Attorney. President Biden’s nomination of Judge Kidd continues to build on his promise to ensure that the federal judiciary reflects the diversity of background and lived experience in our nation. We urge the U.S. Senate to swiftly confirm Judge Kidd who we are confident shares our commitment to fairness and racial equality and will affirm our nation's democratic principles.”
