Today, Congressional Black Caucus Chairman Steven Horsford (NV-04) and members of the Congressional Black Caucus issued the following statement regarding the extended Israel-Hamas truce:
“The safety and security of innocent civilians, and de-escalation throughout the Middle East region have been the Congressional Black Caucus’ top priorities since the attack on October 7. We applaud President Biden and the Administration’s work in brokering an agreement to extend the humanitarian truce for additional days to allow for the release of more hostages, including 4-year-old Abigail Edan, and for the delivery of humanitarian aid to innocent civilians. The CBC is calling for the release of all remaining hostages and for the Biden-Harris Administration to continue to do all it can to ensure the safety of innocent civilians caught in the middle of this conflict.”
