Fudge released the following statement on Senate confirmation of Jeh Johnson as Secretary of Homeland Security: “I am pleased that the Senate has confirmed Jeh Johnson as Secretary of Homeland Security. Secretary Johnson is a distinguished advisor who has been integral to developing strategies that protect and advance American values domestically and abroad. With an extensive history of service to our armed forces and an incomparable depth of knowledge on national security and foreign policy issues, Secretary Johnson will lead the Department of Homeland Security with studied acumen and fortitude. “I congratulate Secretary Johnson on this significant accomplishment in his career and I look forward to working with him in his new role.” ### |
