Congressional Black Caucus Chair Marcia L. Fudge to Speak at March on Washington 50th Anniversary Events

(Link) – Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) Chair Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) will commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington as a speaker on Saturday, August 24 and on Wednesday, August 28.

Chair Fudge and Congressman John Lewis (GA-05) will speak at the “National Action to Realize the Dream” March on August 24 and at the “Let Freedom Ring Commemoration and Call to Action” Ceremony on August 28.

During her remarks on Saturday, Chair Fudge will discuss the persistent civil rights challenges America must overcome to ensure realizing Dr. King’s Dream and achieving the American Dream remains available to all.

What: The National Action to Realize the Dream
When: Saturday, August 24, 2013
Chair Fudge will make remarks from the Lincoln Memorial between 11:30am - 12:30pm.

What: Let Freedom Ring Commemoration and Call to Action Ceremony
When: Wednesday, August 28, 2013
