Today, Members of the Congressional Black Caucus will protest removing the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) from the Farm Bill during rule debate on the House Floor.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE July 11, 2013 Congressional Black Caucus to Protest Farm Bill on House Floor Today, Members of the Congressional Black Caucus will protest removing the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) from the Farm Bill (H.R. 2642) during rule debate on the House Floor. Members will stand together in opposition to separating nutrition programs and farm subsidies from the Farm Bill as an effort to pass legislation without regard to the impact it will have on millions of families in need across America. Members will protest on the House floor at approximately 9:40am. Floor proceedings can be watched live online via C-SPAN. ### |
