“Clean Communities, Clean Economies”

Poor and minority communities of color are disproportionately harmed by pollution and other environmental issues, which predisposes those who live in these communities to health issues such as asthma, cancer, and learning disabilities. The CBC Energy, Environment, and Agriculture Task Force fights for environmental justice to ensure that all Americans are guaranteed the basic right of clean air, water, and soil. The Task Force also promotes strong energy policies that strengthen our national security, increases energy efficiency, and creates good-paying jobs for hardworking Americans. Lastly, the Task Force develops agriculture priorities that support Black farmers, combat food insecurity, and expand broadband access.
